The beginning of any school year is an exciting time -- full of promise and opportunity.  To fulfill the promise and experience the opportunities, we must recognize our common purpose and work together to be the best that we can be.

 

Our theme this year is "Reaching for the Stars:  Excellence and Civility in Community."  We will strive for excellence in teaching and learning and in every aspect of school life.  We will respect each other and practice civility in all situations -- a cornerstone in our efforts to offer a quality learning environment for all.  This includes respect of ourselves, other students, all adults, school rules, and school property.  It also includes respect of the opportunity to learn that is given each day at school.  We will strive for excellence and practice civility in Community – a group of individuals united by a common vision and purpose, and who care about the group and each other.

So, join me in setting a daily course for an energized, positive, and success-filled school year as we reach for the stars together!
